Brightwater State
School is lucky to have been one of two schools selected on the Sunshine Coast
to participate in the RACQ Road Safety Program. This is a free program run by RACQ
that teaches students how to act safely on our roads, particularly when using
their bicycles.
The sessions have
been run this week with our Prep – Year 2 students experiencing the junior road
safety talks and the Year 3 – 7 students participating in the senior
presentation. Feedback from the students and staff has been very positive. The
representatives from RACQ have commended our students on their excellent behaviour
and have enjoyed their time with our students.
We would like to
thank RACQ for providing this free, educational experience to our students and
the Sunshine Coast Council for recommending our school for this program.
