Student services and support programs

At Brightwater State School, we are committed to providing a whole school approach to curriculum provision using a continuum of support to cater for the learning needs of all students.

The Student Support Team meet each week to discuss and collaborate with Classroom Teachers to plan and deliver needs based support programs and classroom interventions that target identified student needs.  The team consists of a Deputy Principal, Guidance Officer, Head of Student Support, Head of Special Education, Specialist Teacher Literacy and Numeracy, Support Teachers and Master Teacher.

The work of the Student Support Team is to coordinate targeted systemic interventions for students who need additional support, beyond that which is provided in a high quality differentiated curriculum, to experience success at school.
