Prep - Year 6

Brightwater State School recognises as its prime obligation, the provision of access to an appropriate educational service for students whose principal place of residence is within the school’s catchment area.

Enrolment process

1.   Check the Enrolment Management Plan and map to ensure your residential address is within the catchment area. The school will cross check to verify that your listed residential address is within the enrolment boundary.

Current proof of residency is required.  Acceptable documents include the following:

  • One primary source – a current lease agreement, rates notice or unconditional sale agreement.
  • One secondary source – a utility bill (e.g. electricity, gas), driver’s licence showing the same address and parent’s/legal guardian’s name as the primary source document.
2.     If you reside within the catchment area, download the following documents:

  • Submit both to the school, either in person or via email, together with your two documents which confirm your residency in the catchment area.  Please also include a copy of your child’s latest report card (if applicable).
Once the school has received your documentation you will be contacted to discuss the next steps to completing your child’s enrolment.

If you reside outside the catchment area, you can complete an Application for Student Enrolment form and submit in person or via email, for consideration.
