All state schools have a designated catchment area. The equal distance point between neighbouring state schools determines each state school’s catchment area. All students who live within the catchment area are automatically eligible to enrol in their local school.

An enrolment management plan ensures that the school retains capacity to serve the community for which it is built. An EMP documents the eligibility criteria for students to enrol at the school who live outside of the school's catchment area.

Please check that you live in our enrolment catchment area before proceeding.

If you live outside the catchment, please fill out our expression of interest form (PDF, 155KB) and email to office@brightwaterss.eq.edu.au.

Fill in all sections and include your child/s latest report card or if it is for a new Prep out of catchment enrolment then ask their kindergarten/daycare for a letter or alternatively contact the school office for more information on (07) 5438 3111.
